Kanata 7's Indoor Discipline Policy
When you receive a red card (or a 3rd or 5th yellow card) of the season the Kanata 7's will followed the Discipline Policy as described below
You have two choices available to you
Discipline by hearing (DBH)
If you wish to request a hearing then you must do so within 48 hours of the game by sending a written request for a Discipline By Hearing process to the Kanata 7's Administrator. You must also pay a $50 hearing bond payable to the Kanata 7's which must also be received by the Kanata 7's within the 48 hours.
If your request is successful then the Kanata 7's will notify you that you can continue playing until you have a hearing. Your hearing will be scheduled within 14 days. You must attend your hearing. You can not attend via conference call. At the hearing a panel will carry out a DBH as described by the Kanata 7's Discipline Policy. Following the hearing the Kanata 7's will notify you of the outcome via email and will indicate your suspension and fine if applicable. We will also indicate your rights of appeal.
Discipline by review (DBR)
If you decide to accept a suspension then the Kanata 7's will perform a Discipline by Review. In this scenario the Kanata 7's Discipline Committee will issue you with a suspension as defined by the Discipline Policy.
Your club will be informed of your suspension and fine by email. You can not appeal a decision made by the DBR process. You do not need to appear at a DBR meeting.
The Kanata 7's Discipline Committee retain the right to request that you attend a DBH meeting if they believe that the offense is serious
Fines
The Kanata 7's will issue a fine for all suspensions.
